I also am having a lot of err 7 problems, particulary at Fort Aspenwood. The err 7's appear to occur only during missions, and I wonder if in general it is while people are in instances that the err 7's are occurring; in other words, no err 7's in outposts or towns?
Last time this happened, ANet said it was an issue with their ISP. This time ANet has not said anything, which I think is a shame.
If you are working on this ANet, post a notice on the login screen. As one post above said, if this goes on long enough it will erode player confidence in the game.

Lag and error 7s were very rare for me except for when new content is being deployed. Since early Friday morning I have had a lot. There is nothing wrong with my network---I have tested.
Please Anet listen up. There is a problem. If you are working on something, please update your Network Updates page to reflect this. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of people being frustrated and perplexed with no response is not good for any business.

Im going to post the same rage message i posted on another fan site, maybe they will actually pay attention this time?, instead of blaming everyone else's connection issues. FACE IT ANET, ITS YOUR PROBLEM, NOT OURS, ALL I WANT IS TO KNOW THAT YOU ADMIT THAT IS AN ISSUE ON YOUR END, AND THAT YOUR DOING ALL YOU CAN TO FIX IT.
anyway heres my other post:
to be honest, after dealing with lag problems and constant error 7's for the last week, im starting to wonder why I even bought this f***ing game. there are SO MANY SERVER ISSUES WITH ANET THAT I CANT DO ANYTHING ANYMORE WITHOUT LAGGING OUT FOR 5 MINUTES. This is rediculous. they need to fix it, or refund my god damn money, im tired of them denying that the lag is their fault, when my internet is fine with every other program.

yep its happening again today. Lagging out for 60 seconds at a time or being disconnected completely. Sure won't be doing any Urgoz runs or ABs for a while.

ive had 3 error 7s in the past 30 minutes. Once in UW, once in droknars forge, once in ice caves.
i know its not my connection because im on Trillian, IRC and Vent and they stayed connected.

Whats getting especially annoying right now is that I, as a monk, am lagging out of missions and getting harrased by my former teammates for "wasting their time". Its getting so widespread that I have had to stop doing missions and set my status to offline. FIX IT NOW ANET, or AT THE VERY LEAST -> ADMIT ITS YOUR FAULT! What is so bad about that??? I want to see a post from Gaile or Alex about this with A DEFINITIVE ANSWER

Yes, I think it is time for communication from ANet. I just err 7'd twice more in Aspenwood. Inquiry on chat revealed that others were also seeing err 7's.
We need to hear from ANet.

It has gotten so bad that when an Aspenwood mission starts, you can see people dropping out left and right from err 7s. I tried about a dozen aspenwood missions today. Of those I errored out 3 times and didn't have a single match where my entire team stayed intact.
Okay Anet, Yay! Yippee! Great you just had your precious championships for .2% of your paying customers. How about now addressing this bs connect problem for the other 99.8% of your now irate customers. I'll settle for just a word or two that you are working on the problem. Amazing you have the time to update the website with the championship results but you can't make a post about this horrendous server issue??? Here is a tip: This lag, err7 issue is far more important than your blasted championships. Get your priorities straight please.

Been having some major issues with GW lag spikes and drop outs for about a week or so. They have always been few and far between before this, and continuing connection problems like this have never happened before for me. I have not changed providers, my ISP has yet to change their service, and my computer has not been changed in any way.
Furthermore, I have no problems connecting to websites or other games that require a stable net connection.
This whole problem is definetely having an effect on my gameplay. If this doesn't let up, I may end up giving GW a rest for a few months.

let me also add that uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help. already tried it. and if i can play UT or HL2 online with the same connection and have 500kbps downloads, i think GW should be working fine, and i haven't ever had any problems before. this is entirely Anet...

It's MORE than obvious that the problem is not in our monitors, so Anet would you be so kind to give us any answer, at least inform us that a maintenance is coming or whatever. o.O
I'm getting really annoyed now, logged on 4 times and got err 7s right after that. What the hell I am supposed to do so that I can actually play for more than 5 minutes with no drops?!?!

I was getting major lag last night in HA - several times - never err 007 - just jogging in place, skills pinging and chat not working. Once (only once) last night will I was playing my husband was also playing - but in the start island of Factions - he had no problems while I did.
And no, normally playing together and or my playing and he downloading music, etc is never a problem.
